Terms of Use

Effective date: October 9, 2026 · Last updated: October 11, 2026

NextDog is a service of MeetingTV Inc. These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and MeetingTV Inc. and its NextDog service (“NextDog,” “we,” “us”). By using nextdog.cc, creating an account, verifying a dog, or uploading content, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use NextDog.

Please read Section 11 carefully. It requires individual arbitration of most disputes and waives class actions and jury trials, unless you opt out within 30 days.

1. Who can use NextDog

NextDog accounts are for adults 18 and older only. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. NextDog is not directed to children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, or to anyone under 18, we will delete the account and its data. To report an account you believe belongs to a minor, email [email protected]. You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for what happens on your account.

2. Verifying dogs

When you verify a dog, you confirm that it is your dog or a dog in your household. Don’t verify dogs that aren’t yours. We may remove verifications that look wrong or misleading.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

No scraping. You may not scrape, crawl, harvest or copy NextDog data by automated means, or use it to build a competing database, except through an interface MeetingTV Inc. provides for that purpose. MeetingTV Inc. may block access and pursue remedies for violations.

4. Your content and the rights you grant

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, and other content you upload (“your content”). By uploading it, you grant MeetingTV Inc. and its NextDog service a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable right, which we may pass on to others (including our partners), to host, reproduce, edit, publicly perform, display, distribute, and promote your content, in any media now known or later developed, including to run and promote NextDog and the Nextminster Fun Show. These rights include displaying and distributing your content, and letting people view and vote on it, on websites, apps, and services operated by our partners.

Place photos. When you upload a photo of a dog park or another place listed on NextDog (such as a groomer, vet, or sitter), you grant MeetingTV Inc. the right to display that photo on NextDog as described above, and you confirm that you took the photo or otherwise have the right to upload it. We strip location and camera data from uploaded photos, and we may remove any photo.

5. Your ownership warranty

You warrant that you own your content or have all the rights and permissions needed to grant the rights above, and that your content doesn’t violate anyone’s rights or any law.

6. Name and likeness release

You release MeetingTV Inc. and its NextDog service to use the names and likenesses of the people and pets shown in your content, in connection with the rights above. You confirm that you have permission from every person who appears in your content (or from their parent or guardian, if they are a minor).

7. Nextminster Fun Show

Only verified dogs may enter. Videos must be 2 minutes (120 seconds) or less and 1 GB or smaller and in one of these categories: AI enhanced, Buddies (2 or more), Good boy (obedience), Goofy, Loveable, That's-Not-A-Dog, Trick. Multiple entries are allowed, per dog and per account. You must check the box agreeing to these terms before uploading. There is no cost to enter and no prize money. Voting is a thumbs-up: one per account per entry (tap again to take it back), and only accounts with a verified dog can vote. We may remove entries or votes that break these terms, and our decisions about winners are final.

8. Account termination

You can stop using NextDog at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or end your account, or remove content, if you break these terms or if we need to in order to protect NextDog, our users, or the public. Sections 4–6 and 9–15 survive termination.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

NextDog is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Dog, vet, park, and other listings may be incomplete or out of date. We don’t guarantee that NextDog will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, MeetingTV Inc. and its NextDog service will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to NextDog or these terms. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

11. Dispute resolution: binding arbitration and class action waiver

Arbitration. You and MeetingTV Inc. agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to NextDog or these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, instead of in court. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this section.

Small claims. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court, as long as it stays in that court and is not on behalf of anyone else.

Class action and jury trial waiver. You and MeetingTV Inc. each waive the right to a jury trial. Disputes and claims may be brought only on an individual basis. Neither of us may bring or take part in any class, collective, or representative action, and there will be no class arbitration. The arbitrator may not combine more than one person’s claims.

30-day opt-out. You can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of first agreeing to these terms, with your name, your account email, and a clear statement that you opt out of arbitration of disputes and claims. Opting out doesn’t affect the rest of these terms.

If the class action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, that claim will go to court, not arbitration.

12. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute or claim not subject to arbitration will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and you and MeetingTV Inc. consent to their jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we’ll update the effective date and give notice on the site or by email. Using NextDog after changes take effect means you accept them. Changes to Section 11 won’t apply to disputes or claims already pending.

14. Other terms

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a term isn’t a waiver. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
